Gli underskin si formano nel 2008. Prima, ognuno dei quattro componenti faceva parte di altre formazioni di diversi stili e generi musicali. Tuttavia la passione per gli u2 risale già ai tempi del "the joshua tree" tour (1987). Nel 1992 essi videro un concerto degli u2, lo zoo tv e quell'amore verso la band irlandese diventò fortissimo. La musica degli U2 è presente da allora in ogni giorno.
Gli U2 sono riconosciuti come la band più famosa al mondo ed hanno fortemente segnato le nostre vite, giornate e momenti.La precisione del fondatore Larry Mullen jr., le creazioni speciali di Edge, lo stile di Adam Clayton, e il fortissimo carisma e la bellissima voce di Bono, hanno creato insieme un prodotto eccezionale e raro dal punto di vista musicale ed umano. Nei primi mesi del 2008 gli UNDERSKIN si riunirono con l'idea di portare in scena lo spettacolo U2 in modo così fedele, curando dettagli e le componenti per dare vita un tributo grandioso.In poco tempo, essi suonano in tantissime città, emozionando le persone e diventando la migliore tribute band di tutto il sud italia con più di 100 date all'anno.
Essi hanno un vasto repertorio che riprende le origini degli U2 con brani come "Gloria", "I will follow", "sunday bloody sunday", "New year's day" fino agli ultimi successi come "Ordinary love", "Invisible", "every breaking wave", "The miracle", compresi gli evergreen come "One", "Where the streets have no name", "I still haven't found what i'm looking for", "With or without you", " Bad", "All i want is you", "Stay", "Lemon", "Beautiful day", "Elevation".
Si tratta di un viaggio musicale che vuole far cantare le persone facendole viaggiare nel tempo e negli anni della band irlandese.
Dopo interventi in radio e tv e dopo essere stati chiamati per eventi importanti, nel 2008 hanno la fortuna di recarsi a Dublino. Qui hanno conosciuto Bono e gli U2. Famosa è una foto che Bono stesso propose di fare con iil leader degli underskin che ritrae i due cantanti " a specchio".
Gli underskin si esibirono per due volte nel mitico e storico Temple Bar di Dublino.
