Per gli amanti del surrealismo e della teatralità, questo spettacolo è da non farselo mancare. AN ECCENTRIC DUET:
Opera Chaotique were formed in 2011 by Tenorman (aka George Tziouvaras) and Voodoo Drummer (aka Chris Koutsogiannis). Before joining forces and turning their backs to respectable music, they both led promising careers in their respective music genres.
As an opera singer, pianist and composer, George Tziouvaras has performed with many Symphony Orchestras and worked with artists such as Ennio Morricone and Cheryl Studer. He’s sung some of opera’s most famous parts and composed original music for theatre plays.
Chris Koutsogiannis has toured the world as a jazz and blues drummer, performing live and recording with many artists, including Meschiya Lake and Michael Dotson. His research on the roots of drumming has brought him to amazing places like Cuba, Brazil and West Africa.

TOUR IN EUROPE & ASIA:
Opera Chaotique’s unique music style and captivating live performances, have got them rave reviews and a growing cult following.
The band has toured extensively in 16 countries in Europe and beyond, performing in a wide range of venues: from theatres, Jazz clubs and concert halls to Rock festivals and Goth clubs. Some of their most recent appearances include venues such as Stuttgart’s Theaterhaus, Berlin’s Lido Club & White Trash, Barcelona’s Harlem Jazz Club, festivals like as UK’s Secret Garden Party and Wilderness and Athens’ Rockwave, as well as big tours in Italy , Portugal etc.

“A musical experience entirely unique, deep and well made” – thus spoke Where Y’at Magazine of New Orleans, about Opera Chaotique’s debut album “Death of the Phantom of the Opera”, featuring Bob Brozman and Tuxedomoon’s Bleine Reininger. At August 2014 the band released its second album, “Poems of a Dirty Old Man”, inspired by Charles Bukowski, with very special guest artists Lousiana Red and the Tiger Lillies’ frontman Martyn Jacques.

Τhe band will soon release its 3rd album, "Muses of the Damned Artists" with guests Marc Collin (Nouvelle Vague) Alex Foster (M. Davis, C. Mingus), Vinicio Capossela, Jan Moritz (Van Canto) & others.

Gli Opera Chaotique rendono omaggio a tutte le donne con il loro nuovo spettacolo:
non solo a quelle famose, ma anche a quelle che incontriamo tutti i giorni, dalla ragazza della porta accanto, alla vicina, la zia, la nonna... Tutte hanno contribuito, ognuna a modo suo, a cambiare il mondo con il loro atteggiamento e le loro lotte. Ci saranno Camille Claudel, Luisa Casati, Nina Simone, Eleonora Duse, Sarah Kane e molte altre, assieme all'infermiera di Voodoo Drummer ed alla psichiatra di Tenorman, in uno spettacolo umoristico e post-surreale.

What happens when an opera singer/pianist and a jazz drummer hook up and put their alchemist cloaks on?

Opera Chaotique propongono arias e vibrazioni africane, riff jazz punk, nanne e incubi gotici. Riscaldare la pozione accanto a un pianoforte e una batteria, aggiungere un fascio di racconti intrecciati, abbondare con umorismo contorto, mescolare bene, portare a ebollizione: nasce uno spettacolo di crossover cabaret.

Con un arsenale imponente di brani originali dai loro due album “Death of the Phantom of the Opera” e “Poems of a Dirty Old Man", con cover che vanno da Tom Waits a Spike Jones, Opera Chaotique presentano uno spettacolo travolgente. Con una notevole musicalità e un impressionante performance live il racconto fantasioso di Opera Chaotique potrebbe essere descritto solo come una festa del surrealismo, composta da musica esplosiva e teatralità devianti.
