Già strumentista al fianco di James Brown, in qualità di membro della "Jimmy Castor Band" ha condiviso il palco con Lionel Ritchie, John Lee Hooker, Chaka Khan, Bill Withers, Patti LaBelle, Kool & The Gang. È il chitarrista e cantante LeBurn Maddox, protagonista dello show di venerdì 7 novembre al Pecora Nera di Cassano Murge. Originario di Palmyra (New Jersey - USA), propone il suo repertorio di musica funk, blues e soul accompagnato da Walter Cerasani (basso) e Gianpaolo Feola (batteria).

La carriera di Leburn inizia negli anni 70. Chitarrista con alle spalle collaborazioni con James Brown, Marvin gaye, Albert Collins, Patty La Belle, Lionel Richie, e George Clinton, in qualità di membro del JCB, Leburn ha condiviso i palchi con artisti di fama mondiale come Chaka Khan, Patti La Belle, Lionel Ritchie, il signor Bill Withers, Kool & the Gang, Motherâ ,S Finest, Gil Scott Heron, Cameo, LTD, Rose Royce, Tavares, Chic, KC & The Sunshine Band e la sorprendente Larry Graham & Graham Central Station.
Leburn è stato inoltre sul palco con il signor John Lee Hooker. Ha addirittura condiviso il palco con artisti celebri della scena reggae ❤️💛💚 Burning Spear, The Wailers, Michigan & Smiley, Augustus Pablo, Andrew Tosh, Twinkle Brothers e molti altri
Dopo 2 anni di spettacoli in Asia (’95-’97) con il californiano cantante, autore, produttore Bruce Parker, Leburn è emigrato nel Regno Unito dove continua ad entusiasmare il pubblico con i suoi spettacoli .
Ha suonato ancora con Debbie Harry e Blondie, Chaka Khan, Marcus Malone, Lightnin Willie, Giles Hedley e l’Aviator e The Hamsters.

In a career that spans almost 50 years LeBurn Maddox has delighted music lovers globally. From 1976 after winning the job as the guitarist for Atlantic Records recording artist Jimmy Castor, LeBurn has performed thousands of gigs, festivals and concerts as the opening act for stellar artists such as Chaka Khan, Bill Withers, Pattie LaBelle, Kool & the Gang, Marvin Gaye, Mother's Finest, Bill Withers and was seen on the USA’s top music TV programs.

1982 In his incarnation as a Reggae artist LB has shared bills with Burning Spear, The Wailers, Michigan & Smiley, Augustus Pablo, Andrew Tosh, Twinkle Brothers and many more.

As a Bluesman LB has opened for and collaborated with artists such as Mr John Lee Hooker, Albert Collins, Joe Lewis’s Walker, Joe Bonamassa, Jeff Healy, and far too many to mention here.

In the Rock and Pop arena LB has shared billing with Debbie Harry & Blondie, Steppenwolf, Redbone, Joss Stone, Matchbox 40, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, War, Funkadelic to name but a few.

Recently seen on BBC’s 4 part series “Rock Till We Drop” with Martin Kemp and performing at the 2021 Isle of Wight Festival opening for Seasick Steve and Duran Duran.

It can be said that LeBurn is truly experienced, festival certified and continues with a passion to delight music lovers globally. One gig at a time.
