Alice was running, running on the black basalt of the suburbs. She fell into a hole and found herself in an underground world populated by creatures banished from the city. A sewer of exiles, a fetid "saettella" filled with the waste of the 'world above'. What will she discover in this sewer of wonders? Will she want to climb back up or prefer to stay? A post-modern fairy tale, a journey through collective and personal removals, laden with taboos. Special Mention at the "Serra-Campi Flegrei 2023" Award in the form of a short monologue.

“From Gentrification, to touristification, to contemporary diasporas, we are always someone’s excluded," says the author. A metropolitan fantasy that intertwines the ancient Neapolitan ‘cunto’ and experimental theater. In the darkness, the protagonist disrupts the categories of above and below, darkness and light, dirty and clean. On stage: rags, a chair, a backpack, a tire. In the dreamlife, they transform into thrones and jewels. Dreams mend the psyche, disturb, shake, and Alice becomes the Queen of the Underworld, the Telluric Virgin, champion of the rats, banned animality, magical and outcast together. On the surface, awake, she lives the collective dream: the nightmare of a present too fast and intangible. In the subterranean, dreaming, she awakens.
