A record number of participants attended the selections, showcasing an excellent artistic level with profound texts and social commitment on themes such as the condition of women, illness, war, personal relationships in the era of perpetual connection, as well as revisiting classics and myths to narrate humanity across time and the martyrs in the fight against the mafia with pieces like “Il silenzio delle stelle” by Liliana D’Angelo and “Lettera di Manfredi Borsellino” by Salvatore Orga, dedicated, respectively, to the massacres of Capaci (from Francesca Morvillo's perspective) and Via D’Amelio.
“We thank the participants who, with their commitment, have made this edition of the Award an event of great cultural significance. The auditions and workshops for professionals and amateurs confirm the role of this space as a talent incubator and nationally recognized reference for the territory,” say Pietro Tammaro and Mauro Palumbo, founders and artistic directors of the Flegreo space, which will celebrate its ten years of activity next autumn.
