Tradizione e Innovazione

Contemporary Art Meets Memory
In an era dominated by speed, digital technology, and incessant transformations, art reclaims a fundamental role: becoming a place of resistance over time, a bridge between the roots of who we are and the vision of what we might become.
The international exhibition “Tradition and Innovation — The Timeless Dialogue of Contemporary Art” is born from the desire to explore this space of tension, where the past is not a constraint but a creative impetus.
Tradition and innovation do not oppose each other: they listen to and transform each other.
Tradition preserves memory, gesture, identity.
Innovation opens up possibilities, new languages, future scenarios.
In the exhibited works, painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media become tools to give shape to time, reworking both individual and collective roots through a contemporary language. The result is an immersive journey where the strength of matter, history, and symbolism interacts with experimentation, vision, and expressive freedom.
The event was made possible thanks to the support and collaboration of Culturadice Cooperativa Sociale, which provided the prestigious Church of Santa Maria di Portosalvo, a historic jewel in the heart of Naples, founded in the 16th century by Neapolitan sailors and merchants as a place of devotion and protection during navigation.
A place where the identity of the city — the sea, the journey, the waiting — becomes a perfect metaphor for the theme of the exhibition.
The curation and artistic direction are by Maria Di Stasio, Art Curator and Social Media Marketing.

During the opening, art critic Mariangela Bognolo will be present to read and present critical texts about the exhibited works, guiding visitors in a dialogue on the current meaning of contemporary art and the relationship between tradition and experimentation.
Additionally, the official exhibition catalog, curated by the publishing house Dino Marasà — Studio Byblos Editore, will be presented, collecting works, critical texts, and contributions from the participants.
The catalog will be distributed in the national book circuit so that the project remains a shared memory and heritage.
