### FOR THE 40 YEARS OF ONE SKY ONE WORLD
**ARTEVENTO**
International Kite Festival
promotes the idea of Europe with the exclusive presentation of artist kites from the two collections of The Hague Air Gallery and European Air Gallery. It prepares for the Peace March with the PerugiAssisi Foundation and pays homage to Japan with an unprecedented exhibition by the Kite Museum at the Magazzino del Sale Torre.
After the success of the 45th edition of ARTEVENTO, which was awarded in the spring by over 800,000 visitors and 182,670 hotel stays recorded, the International Kite Festival returns to Cervia from October 3 to 12 with the concluding event One Sky One World to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the international kite flying day for peace. This event is inspired by the kite created by American activist Jane Parker Ambrose to call for nuclear disarmament during a summit in Seattle between Reagan and Gorbachev, which was immortalized on the cover of the magazine "Soviet Life" in July 1986.
From October 3 to 5, the event will kick off with kite flying on the beach of Cervia, accompanied by a new exhibition from the Kite Museum dedicated to the latest acquisitions from Japan, scheduled from October 3 to 12 at the Magazzino del Sale Torre.
The Kite Museum exhibition at the Magazzino del Sale pays tribute to Japan on the occasion of One Sky One World.
The fall event features a rich program focused on peace, solidarity, human rights, sustainability, and the protection of the planet. It honors the idea of Europe, participates in the R1PUD1A project by Emergency, and prepares for the Peace March in collaboration with the PerugiAssisi Foundation.
At the core of the October event is the concept of art as a tool for transformation, highlighted through the main attraction of this edition: the exclusive and first-time presentation in Italy of two kite collections created to honor "the idea of Europe." These are The Hague Air Gallery, presented in the Netherlands in 1987 from an idea by contemporary kite flying pioneer Gerard Van Del Loo and art curator Els Lubbers, featuring 21 kites by Dutch artists; and the European Air Gallery, inspired by it, promoted since 1994 in England by the Sunderland City Council, composed of works by 22 selected artists from various countries: large-scale paintings constructed on the traditional Japanese "edo" model, made to be admired from great distances in the sky.
The two European galleries were commented on by the director of the Tokyo Museum, who stated, "The kite is the canvas, the gallery is the sky," fueling the interplay between East and West, tradition and innovation—the very ideal that ARTEVENTO pursues through the promotion of wind art, connections from one part of the world to another, and the metaphorical universe that the kite unveils when one lifts their gaze to the sky and admires it soaring across borders, as a symbol of freedom and fraternity among people united under the same sky.
Enriching the calendar of autumn events will be creative and thematic workshops for children, dedicated to the right to play, education, and the future with a special thought for the children of Gaza; along with these, there will also be workshops for adults, realized in collaboration with Polish artist Alicja Szalska and with the support of Righi for Cucire. These workshops will feature the creation of an original kite-flag, designed to fly on the beach and at the same time to be carried in a parade like a banner during the Perugia Assisi Peace March scheduled for October 12. There will be distinguished guests, parades, music, and even a solar-powered mobile cinema (Cinemadudesert) to share experiences of lives, journeys, and migrations.
