The
Traindeville duo will land at the
Aniene Festival to present a preview of the new album "Racconti Romani" scheduled for release in October 2024 and inspired by a successful performance at the Ottobrata Monticiana in October 2023. Along with the band, comedian and writer Paolo Pesce Nanna will present his delightful monologues, portraying a city in constant evolution with all its hilarious characters that the audience will enjoy alongside original songs and evergreen songs from the Roman tradition, in a very particular form of "Roman-style" theater performance.
The duo formed by
Ludovica Valori (vocals and accordion) and
Paolo Camerini (double bass, acoustic bass), accompanied by the guitarist
Fabio Gammone, presents a highly personal journey through Roman songs: a fascinating and often tragic microcosm featuring plenty of stories and figures that shaped the collective identity of the Capital city. The band has always explored sounds from around the world but has never neglected to nurture its own roots - namely the original songs in Roman dialect composed by
Ludovica Valori (born and bred in Monti historical neighborhood), including "Roma città persa", a tribute to the Roman Resistance during World War II, and "Fatica," a sarcastic picture of the hectical daily traffic in Rome. Therefore, August 15th 2024 ("Ferragosto") will be the perfect occasion to present these songs to the public along with the most beloved and well-known songs from the Roman tradition.
Paolo Pesce Nanna
Author, actor, writer, and comedian from Centocelle district. He has been active on the Italian scene for over twenty years. In 2022, he participated in the Italian culture week in Cuba.
He published four books and was recently awarded as best leading actor in the theatrical festival of Monte Compatri with the comedy "Lei, Lui....Loro". For his commitment to social issues, he was honored as Defender of Human Rights in 2023. He presented and hosted events with the Moroccan musician Nour Eddine Fatty to support the Moroccan population affected by last year's earthquake. He frequently collaborates with musicians and artists from various backgrounds in his shows.
"His visual writing captivates the reader and strikes with an unmistakable style, right from the first lines, without frills and without too many words, but the reader doesn't move, he allows himself to be struck, disheveled, as if hit by the wind of a speeding train..." (Cut-up publishing).

Traindeville
A metropolitan train touching the most colorful stations of ethnic music, from indie folk to the Balkans, from Rome to Flamenco passing through klezmer, on the wings of rhythm and playfulness.
The duo has traveled the streets of Italy, the USA, Germany, Poland, and India, collecting joy and participation and organizing musical workshops with children from orphanages and schools in India.
The band's journey through Memory, created by Ludovica Valori and Paolo Camerini, led them to be guests at the official Ceremony for the Day of Remembrance 2020 at the Quirinale, where their interpretations of klezmer and Yiddish songs were highly appreciated by President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella. For the Day of Remembrance 2022, the video clip of Ludovica Valori's song "Roma città Persa" performed by the duo in a new version was previewed on Repubblica Roma and presented with a live mini performance on TV2000.
In Rome, the duo has performed at numerous summer events, comedy nights, dance and poetry evenings, markets, book presentations, and art exhibitions, as well as many other street and festive situations. The members of the duo come from various musical experiences, from the historic gypsy-folk-rock formation Nuove Tribù Zulu to the Roman tradition reinterpreted by Ardecore and BandaJorona, to the klezmer of the Dragan Trio, the spirited brass of the street band Titubanda, and collaborations with actors, jugglers, and dancers: paths that often intersected creating new sounds and fascinating narrative suggestions.
Since 2023, the duo features the guitarist Fabio Gammone (Avast, Filuccio e fattacci).
