The feminine and its firepower. Its beauty, its strength, its light. With five women at the center of the stage – Dora Maar, Amelia Rosselli, Carol Rama, Vivian Maier, and Lisetta Carmi – who speak for the last time. And they speak of themselves, without the right of reply.
I became passionate about the words and works of some luminous figures of the twentieth century.
Women often left in the shadows or in someone else's shadow. I studied their lexicon until I could "hear" their voice, as if I had them in front of me and could speak with them. Finally, I had the desire to do them justice. Through writing, of course, I don't know any other way. An obituary is dedicated to these five women, imagining that they themselves speak at their funerals to tell who they are and who they have always been. Invectives, because the words and intentions are vehement and compensatory.
I used only their words to compose the texts - words that they actually spoke or wrote in life - and in some rare cases, words that others, those who loved or hated them, wrote about them.

As a counterpoint to the stories, lullabies and songs performed live by the Apulian singer-songwriter Erica Mou, on stage alongside Concita. The stage space, conceived and curated by Vincent Longuemare, is a play of geometric bright frames, points of contact between the power of Concita De Gregorio's words and Erica Mou's pure and archaic voice. This is how Dora Maar, Amelia Rosselli, Carol Rama, Vivian Maier, and Lisetta Carmi take the stage, in the theater, just before leaving the stage, in life. As if a moment before disappearing, they could turn to the audience: "Ah. One last thing to say."
