On Sunday, October 27, 2024, the Art Forum Würth Capena will be exceptionally open to the public from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Visitors can access the exhibition Pathos und Pastos. Christopher Lehmpfuhl in the Würth Collection for free or join guided tours organized by the exhibition space staff.
(Cost of the guided tour: €8 per individual, €60 for groups of at least 8 people.)
The exhibition, featuring over 40 works by German artist Christopher Lehmpfuhl, offers an exploration of some of the most significant series of his work, from sculptural urban representations to bright natural landscapes executed in various parts of the world.
Christopher Lehmpfuhl (Berlin, 1972) is known for his ability to capture the beauty and essence of landscapes through plein air painting. His travels take him around the world, from Iceland to Japan, from Italy to India. Following the impressionist tradition, he paints outdoors to fully immerse himself in the places he depicts, transforming his artistic practice into a complete sensory experience. Each of Lehmpfuhl's creations contains liters of thick paint, lumps of matter applied manually in an organic and masterful execution.
At 3:00 PM, the creative workshop "Magic Lanterns" will take place, dedicated to children aged 5 to 12 years. In anticipation of Halloween, participants can create personalized ghostly lanterns, celebrating the holiday with imagination and taking home a unique light source to illuminate the magical night.
