Novecento!

The Sonaria Ensemble Trio performs "Novecento!", a concert for Clarinet, Flute, and Piano, featuring music by Dmitri Shostakovich (Four Waltzes), John Rutter (Suite Antique), Scott Joplin (Bethena, a Concert Waltz), and Camille Saint-Saëns (Sonata for Clarinet).

The concert offers an intimate and sometimes ironic perspective on a century of great transformations through the music of four key composers, performed by a chamber ensemble of remarkable elegance and originality.

The Artists:
Giuseppe Campanale – Graduated in clarinet from the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome, he held the prestigious position of second clarinet in the Carabinieri Band, performing on some of the world’s most important stages. He is currently dedicated to concert performance and teaching.

Stefania Barbone – Graduated in Piano from the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome, she has had a long career as a collaborative pianist, working alongside opera singers and instrumentalists. She has collaborated with prestigious institutions such as the Accademia and the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia, the Viterbo Baroque Festival, and international events including the Copenhagen Festival and the Euro-Mediterranean Festival.

Carlo Lupi – Graduated in flute from the Conservatorio F. Morlacchi in Perugia, has served as first and second flute in the Tivoli Philharmonic and the Santa Cecilia Flute Orchestra. He regularly performs both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles.
