Traindeville return on stage at
Boogie Club Saturday April 12th, 2025 to present their new album “Racconti Romani,” inspired by a successful performance at the Ottobrata Monticiana in October 2023. Joining the band is comedian and writer
Paolo Pesce Nanna with his delightful monologues: portraits of a city in constant evolution with all its hilarious characters that the audience will thoroughly enjoy, among original songs and evergreen tunes from the Roman tradition, in an original form of “Roman-style” musical comedy. The show was presented to the public in an unforgettable evening on Ferragosto 2024 at the Aniene Festival and later on to the super-genuine audience of the Ottobrata Monticiana that same year.
The duo of
Ludovica Valori (vocals and accordion) and
Paolo Camerini (double bass, acoustic bass), accompanied by the guitar of
Fabio Gammone, will offer the public their own very personal journey into Roman song: a fascinating and often tragic microcosm, full of stories and figures that have shaped the collective identity of the Capital. The band has always explored world sounds but has never neglected to cultivate their roots – consider the original songs in Romanesco dialect composed by Ludovica Valori (a true Monticiana), including “Roma città persa,” a tribute to the Roman Resistance, and “Fatica,” a sarcastic parable of the busy Roman daily life. Ferragosto 2024 will thus be the ideal occasion to present these songs alongside the most beloved and well-known songs of the Roman tradition to the public.
Paolo Pesce Nanna
Writer, actor, author, and comedian from Rome, Centocelle district. He has been active on the Italian scene for over twenty years.
In 2022, he participated in the Italian culture week in Cuba, an experience that led to the book “Un italiano en La Habana,” recently released also in Spanish and presented in Cuba in February 2025. It’s a detailed logbook; from the discovery and love at first sight for classical ballet, previously rejected out-of-hand, the grueling rehearsals in an unknown language, with daily misunderstandings that gave life to unforgettable skits, the breaking down of the “fourth wall” by the director in theater, initially shocking, the World Cup experienced in a country where the national sport is baseball, the rediscovery of the old youthful passion for Cuban salsa, and then the concerts, trips to enchanting places, food, Covid, the “Santería,” and friendship with a capital A.
He was recently awarded Best Leading Actor at the Monte Compatri theater festival with the comedy “Lei, Lui....Loro.”
For his commitment to social issues, he was honored as a Human Rights Defender 2023. He has presented and hosted initiatives organized with Moroccan musician Nour Eddine Fatty to support the people of Morocco affected by the earthquake in 2023.
