Apulia as a Protagonist
for Lifestyle and Sustainable Development
At the Foreign Press headquarters in Palazzo Grazioli, Apulia's activity will be analyzed by qualified international experts along with some of the protagonists of the regional legislature that is coming to an end. The portal "Tutta la Puglia che c’è" (All of Apulia that Exists) will be previewed, which communicates the impacts and value generated by regional action.
Tourism, economic development, investment attraction, cultural activities, and employment growth are just some of the positive trends that characterize Apulia's recent years. A virtuous model of economic and social progress for a region that has established itself as a recognizable brand at a national and international level. This paradigm will be the focus of the fifth edition of the workshop "Puglia, a way of life" to be held on Tuesday, July 8 at 4:00 PM, in the conference hall of the Foreign Press, at Palazzo Grazioli (Via del Plebiscito, 102) in Rome.
"Puglia, a way of life" is an event to reflect on an integrated model of enhancing quality of life and sustainable development concerning people and communities, through practices founded on the tangible and intangible heritage of the region.
The proceedings will be initiated by Michele Emiliano, president of the Apulia Region. As a “Special guest,” Cetti Lauteta, partner of The European House – Ambrosetti and head of the Practice Scenario Sud of TEHA Group, will intervene. In this role, she is the project leader for major platforms dedicated to the competitiveness and attractiveness of Southern Regions, including "Verso Sud." She also works on high-level management, strategy, and innovation projects for large and medium enterprises and institutions.
Cristiana Rogate, president of "Refe – Strategie di sviluppo sostenibile" and expert in sustainability, accountability, and participation, will present in advance the OpenReport "Tutta la Puglia che c’è", the digital platform adopted by the Apulia Region to innovatively, clearly, and accessibly convey the meaning and value of regional action during the XI Legislature. The participatory analysis process involved the regional Departments and Agencies in nine months of work to verify how government commitments have translated into concrete action and to measure the value generated through a set of over 1,000 indicators.
The workshop will continue with a talk hosted by Giuseppe De Bellis, director of Sky TG24. It will feature the participation of Antonio Romano, a renowned architect and designer, as well as the founder of the international network Inarea, along with some of the protagonists of Apulia’s activity and planning. Participants will include Raffaele Piemontese, regional vice president and health assessor, Gianna Elisa Berlingerio, director of the economic development department, and Aldo Patruno, director of the tourism and cultural economy department.
Final considerations will be entrusted to Rocco De Franchi, head of institutional communication for the Apulia Region.
