After the first edition of the event in 2023 in Milan, which saw the participation of numerous artists in exhibition, with great response both in the media and from the public, Dr. Francesca Callipari, an art historian and critic who has long been dedicated to the promotion of emerging artists, proposes a second edition of the event at the multifunctional hall of the Crocetti Museum in Rome, coinciding with the Jubilee 2025, from March 22 to April 1, 2025.
The exhibition, titled "The Power of Art," which will be inaugurated on Saturday, March 22 from 5:00 PM, will involve 35 Italian and international artists, exploring the symbolic and reflective power of art and inviting the public to consider the silent dialogue that is established between the artwork and the observer. The selected artists will contribute, through their Art, to stimulate this interaction, leading to an understanding of how the works impact reality.
As stated by the curator: "Every work that follows the creative act of an artist always represents a possible dimension, a symbolic reality that, placed before individuals in a society, allows them to engage in a collective experience of co-constructing the work itself. It is as if the artistic object really acquires meaning only when the observer manages to gain intellectual and emotional awareness; when that relationship is established between the work and the observer, capable of generating deep emotions and reflections. In this event, art, therefore, is not just visual expression, but a call to introspection, to overcoming fears and contradictions... a tool for seeking new paths of knowledge."
On the other hand, since ancient times, art has been attributed with extraordinary philosophical and esoteric capabilities, as well as a leading role in political, religious, and moral contexts, thinking of ancient Greece, and today it is undoubtedly considered one of the highest distinctive activities of the human race. However, we often lose the sense of all this... in a society that is increasingly cynical, where humanity is still afflicted by violence and oppression, sometimes we wonder what the function of art is and whether it can still have the role it was assigned in past eras. Thus, events like this allow us to answer this question and this need... art is food for the soul, a precious element that activates our senses, touching that deeper "Self," leading us to understand ourselves and what surrounds us.
Furthermore, the location where the event will take place, home to the works of the great Italian sculptor Venanzo Crocetti, will certainly offer both artists and visitors a rich source of cultural and spiritual inspiration, undoubtedly leaving a pleasant memory in the hearts of people.
Where: The exhibition will be held at the Multifunctional Hall of the Crocetti Museum in Rome, coinciding with the Jubilee 2025. Visitors will also be able to access the museum's exhibition halls and visit the permanent collection for free.
Vernissage: The inauguration will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, starting at 5:00 PM. During the event, Dr. Callipari will provide a critical reflection, followed by poetic interludes. During the vernissage, the book “La Chiave delle parole” by Sergio Alessandrini and Danilo Castrechini will be presented.
Dates: March 22, 2025, to April 1, 2025.
