On the theme **“Breath at the Center,”** choreographies by prestigious international masters will animate four unmissable days. According to Biancamaria Alberi, Councillor for Culture of the Municipality of Bracciano: **“Rare opportunities for beauty and creativity offered to the people of Bracciano.”**
“Contemporary dance performances at sunset at the Sentinella belvedere represent opportunities of rare beauty offered to the people of Bracciano by the Canova 22 association, to which the municipal administration extends its sincere thanks for the outstanding quality of its projects. This year, the end of August will be rich in evocative experiences: the desire for beauty and creativity is being transformed into a variety of events in which art takes center stage.”
With these words, Biancamaria Alberi, Councillor for Culture of the Municipality of Bracciano, previews the event taking place in Bracciano from 27 to 30 August as part of the 2006 edition of the **Dancescreen in the Land Festival**. Four days devoted to great dance on the theme **“Breath at the Center,”** an invitation to rediscover breath as the original gesture that connects the body with its surroundings.
At Borgo Acqua Paola, in the heart of the Pisciarelli woods, **Creation in the Land**, an international workshop led by Hofesh Shechter Company performers Attila Rónai, Justine Gouache, and Oscar Jinghu Li, will take place. It is an immersive creative retreat during which professionals and young dancers will share their explorations of nature, choreographic practice, and collective creation.
The 2026 edition opens on Thursday, 27 August, at 7 p.m. at Borgo Acqua Paola with the performance **L’Altro**, featuring Moreno Guadalupi of the ResExtensa company. The work reflects on the relationship between the individual and the collective, combining contemporary dance and house dance in an intense and engaging physical composition.
As in previous editions, the Festival will then move out into the surrounding area with three unmissable events in the town of Bracciano.
On Friday, 28 August, at 8 p.m., La Luna Dance Theater will present **Odissea – Naufragi dell’Anima** (*Odyssey – Shipwrecks of the Soul*), a site-specific performance that will culminate at the Bracciano belvedere with a contemporary reinterpretation of Ulysses’ mythical journey as an inner quest involving discovery, loss, and transformation.
On Saturday, 29 August, at 8 p.m., in Piazza Belvedere, the Lunatics collective—made up of very young performers—will stage **Echoes of the King**, a performance devoted to Michael Jackson’s artistic legacy: urban dance and contemporary languages engaging in a dialogue between memory, rhythm, and identity.
On Sunday, 30 August, from 7 p.m. in Bracciano’s historic center, an event of great communal significance is scheduled. Following a performance by the Bracciano Polyphonic Choir, conducted by Martina Paciotti, with Andrea Bosso on piano, the audience will attend the final presentation of **Creation in the Land**, bringing the workshop to a close.
The performance will be the culmination of the shared experience involving the three international choreographers, the participants, and the local area, expressing through the body the dialogue developed with the landscape of Borgo Acqua Paola.
