Pavia, October 31, 2024. On Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 9:00 PM, with an opening concert dedicated to the founder of Collegio San Carlo Borromeo, the 2024/2025 Musical Season of the institution officially begins, gathered under the title Explorations and with the artistic direction of Alessandro Marangoni. The concert featuring the performance of pianist Roberto Prosseda and the robot TeoTronico inaugurates a rich program comprising 8 concerts and performances by Italian and international performers, hosted in the halls of the Collegio until May 28, 2025.

Pianist Prosseda, winner of numerous recording awards and internationally recognized, challenges the robot in a four-hand performance: a true keyboard challenge where the two pianists will alternately perform pieces by Mozart, Chopin, and other classical and romantic composers.

On one side, human interpretation; on the other, robotic literal and impeccable execution.

TeoTronico was born in Imola in 2008, created by his "father" Matteo Suzzi, and immediately dedicated himself to studying the piano; currently, thanks to his 53 fingers, he can reproduce any MIDI file, adhering literally to the sheet music or replicating interpretations of great pianists from piano rolls. Within a few years, he reached major international stages, from the Berlin Philharmonie (2012) to the Beijing Concert Hall (2018), also engaging with the television world on Italy’s Got Talent (2013) and contemporary music.

The 2024/2025 Musical Season of the Collegio is organized in collaboration with Forte?Fortissimo! and the Fondazione I Solisti di Pavia and supported by the Ministry of Culture – Directorate General for Entertainment and Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lombardia.
