Who is Madeleine?
Madeleine is the adolescent soul that, despite everything, resists, striving to remain intact.
The Salentine band has been engaged since 2015 in composing, improvising, and experimenting with multiple musical influences: from experimental music to hard rock, to the progressive of Italian bands such as Le Orme, PFM, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Area, Goblin, and English bands like Genesis, King Crimson, and Pink Floyd, up to the more contemporary prog of groups like Porcupine Tree and Muse.
Their latest work Between Light and Shadow, released in June 2023, is born from the desire to compose something innovative compared to the concept of classic or traditional prog. It is surely a much more varied album compared to the first, in terms of styles and sounds, thanks also to the collaboration of valuable musicians like Richard Sinclair (Caravan, Camel, Hatfield and the North, Caravan of Dreams, Wilde Flowers), Marco Ancona, Francesco Del Prete, Roberto Gagliardi, Santi Spanna, Pietro Sansonetti.
