BAB L’BLUZ IN TOUR

Bab L’Bluz returns to the scene with "Swaken," their second album released in 2024 by the historic label founded by Peter Gabriel. This work marks another evolutionary leap: eleven incandescent tracks, recorded at Real World Studios and written between Morocco and an extensive world tour, pushing the band's sound into even more intense, physical, and visceral territories.

"Swaken" is music that is both ancient and futuristic: a sonic whirlwind that evokes the analog energy of 1970s rock, from Hendrix to Led Zeppelin, intertwining it with North African trance rituals and the hypnotic strength of gnawa lilas. Live, this imagery translates into concerts of the highest intensity, where body and sound resonate together, and dance becomes a liberating and collective act.

In the lyrics, mainly sung in darija, Yousra Mansour uncompromisingly addresses themes such as gender inequality, inheritance laws, depression, and the need to rediscover trust, unity, and shared responsibility in an increasingly fragile world. This is a clear and non-negotiable position that makes Bab L’Bluz both an artistic and political project.

The Italian tour represents a rare opportunity to experience live one of the most powerful and original realities in contemporary international music.
