**Inside the Nightmare, Beyond the Darkness: An Event Exhibition with Valerio Zezur in Bosisio Parini**
Not just a simple exhibition. Not a traditional presentation. But an appointment designed to truly engage the audience, combining art, storytelling, and presence in a space where the works are not just observed but become part of a broader experience.
It is with this spirit that Bosisio Parini prepares to host "Inside the Nightmare, Beyond the Darkness," an event dedicated to Valerio Zezur, a polymaterial artist and author, with the patronage of the Municipality of Bosisio Parini. For three days, the Giuseppe Parini Study Center will become the venue where Zezur's artistic and human journey will take shape through an exhibition, the presentation of the book that bears the event's title, and two live creation moments intended to leave a concrete mark on the territory.
Valerio Zezur is an artistic figure distinguished by intensity, authenticity, and expressive strength. Born in Kiev in 2001 and artistically raised between Palermo and Monza, he has developed a body of work in which material plays a central role: cement, wood, metal, ropes, sands, and layering become living elements capable of narrating tension, memory, wounds, and rebirth. His biography presents him as an artist whose work cannot be separated from lived experience, and for this reason, his canvases never appear decorative or distant, but are deeply infused with an inner truth that resonates powerfully with viewers.
In recent years, his journey has gained increasing attention, with exhibitions in various Italian contexts and even international openings, culminating in participation in the collective exhibition "Italy World" in Tokyo. In 2025, he published, along with Mirko Giacomin, the book "Inside the Nightmare, Beyond the Darkness," an autobiographical work that represents an important key to understanding his artistic language, as it lays bare its deepest roots: identity, uprooting, pain, resistance, and transformation.
The event in Bosisio Parini will kick off on Friday, May 8, at 9:00 PM, with the official inauguration of the exhibition and the presentation of the book. The evening will be structured in a different format from the usual, closer to an immersive experience than a frontal meeting. The project arises from a precise format designed to create a dialogue between biography, works, and words, and to guide the audience through a narrative that does not simply explain but seeks to elicit feeling. In the cultural production dossier, the book is described as the "spine" of the event, a living element through which the audience can enter the artist's world.
Alongside Valerio Zezur during the inaugural evening will be Mirko Giacomin, co-author of the volume and moderator of the meeting. His contribution will be to accompany the storytelling and make it even more relatable to the audience, maintaining balance, intensity, and rhythm. His presence is integral to the project, creating a lively, accessible, and never formal atmosphere for the evening.
After the inauguration, the event will continue on Saturday, May 9, and Sunday, May 10, with exhibition hours from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. On both days, visitors will be able to explore the exhibition, meet the artist, and closely experience his work, but there will also be something additional: the birth of new works in real-time, before the audience.
On Saturday, Valerio Zezur will create a piece dedicated to Bosisio Parini, the Lecco territory, and Lake Pusiano, conceived as a tribute to the place hosting the event. The work will then be donated to the Municipality of Bosisio Parini, transforming the artistic performance into a concrete gesture of dialogue with the community.
Sunday will be dedicated to the creation of a second live piece, intended for an important charitable organization in the territory. This aspect also contributes to defining the broader sense of the initiative: not just an artistic appointment, but an event capable of creating relationships with the place, the people, and the social value of art.
Throughout the duration of the event, Valerio Zezur will be present in the exhibition. This will allow visitors to have a close experience, interacting directly with the artist, delving into the details of the works, and understanding more deeply the materials, symbols, and the human journey that traverses them. It is precisely this characteristic that makes "Inside the Nightmare, Beyond the Darkness" a different event: not just a simple succession of scheduled moments, but the construction of an atmosphere capable of engaging and leaving a mark.
Thus, the appointment in Bosisio Parini presents itself as a cultural event of great impact, able to unite exhibition, book, live art, and authentic dialogue in a contemporary and intense formula. An opportunity to closely encounter the work of a young but already recognizable artist, and to experience a situation where culture does not remain abstract but becomes presence, matter, and participation.
