Star Wars Experience

On the occasion of the exhibition "MOVIE ICONS. Objects from Hollywood sets", the National Cinema Museum presents the "Star Wars Experience", an event dedicated to the public and fans of the genre where the Imperial legions and rebels from Star Wars will come to the Museum, parading through the streets of the city center, accompanied by the famous 'Imperial March', one of the most well-known pieces in the entire history of cinema.

The show, staged by members of the 501st Italica Garrison (Imperials) and the Rebel Legion Italian Base (Rebels), the two official LucasFilm groups, will continue inside the Museum, with all the performers available for photos and selfies with the museum's audience.
Dressed in meticulously crafted costumes, perfect reproductions of those used on the saga sets, they will represent the most iconic figures of the Star Wars series; from Darth Vader to Stormtroopers, from X Wing pilots to Jedi knights, but also many other characters, for a special day in which it will seem that the "far, far away galaxy" is incredibly close.

For those who come to the museum dressed up in theme, a reduced entrance ticket is available, purchasable at the museum's ticket office. No reservation is required to participate in the event.

It will be the ideal opportunity to visit the large exhibition, with one hundred and twenty original scene objects, costumes, and memorabilia, coming from the most famous Hollywood film sets, where the Star Wars saga is present with the helmet of a Stormtrooper, worn by soldiers of the Galactic Empire, a lock of hair from the iconic Chewbacca, the Wookiee over 2 meters tall and co-pilot of Ian Solo's ship, and Luke Skywalker's lightsaber.

Program of the day:
11:00am - Departure of the first parade from the Mole Antonelliana towards Piazza Castello
2:00pm to 5:00pm - Imperial soldiers and rebels will liven up the rooms of the National Cinema Museum. Visitors can take splendid selfies with them and step into the shoes of the saga's protagonists thanks to some reproductions of scene objects available for iconic photos.
5:00pm - Departure of the second parade from the Mole Antonelliana towards Piazza Vittorio
