It will be an intense day in one of the most welcoming villages in the province of Taranto.
?6:00 pm: Diatonic accordion workshop, conducted by M° Claudio Prima. The accordion is an instrument that evokes and carries an extraordinary traditional heritage. In recent years, this heritage has been rediscovered in detail and brought to light. The spread of the accordion in this rediscovery phase has led the traditional repertoire to meet new contexts, expanding to touch new expressive horizons. To reach these horizons, traditional techniques have been perfected and enriched, making the accordion a versatile and complete instrument. The workshop will introduce the basic techniques of the instrument and their application to different genres, starting from structural limits and trying to overcome them, turning them into an opportunity for execution and expression. Claudio Prima is an experienced accordionist of border music and has conceived and led a series of projects over the years focused on the dialogue between different music genres (Adria, BandAdriatica, Manigold, Giovane Orchestra del Salento, Tukrè) with performances in Europe, Africa, and the USA. He is an assistant to Goran Bregovic and Giovanni Sollima for the 2012-2014 editions of the Notte della Taranta. He is the composer of numerous soundtracks and participates in various musical and theatrical projects in Italy and abroad.

?9:30 pm: LIVE SELECTION of the JFRadiovision Contest: one of the bands that will be voted by a prestigious jury will perform live. LIVE CONCERT BANDADRIATICA. Transported by the swirling winds that light up the coasts of the eastern sea, BandAdriatica roams the choppy waves of Salento music with elements from all Mediterranean shores like a complex "Babylon," where languages begin to harmonize on popular melodies in the mixed fervor of port cities. Thus, the traditions of Puglia take on a new resonance and carry the frenetic echoes of Salento music far away, through sounds of festivals, processions, funerals, serenades, and night journeys from village to village, after ten years of research on the common musical matrices of the Adriatic Sea shores, confronting Albanian, Macedonian, Croatian music, Serbian brass bands, North Africa, and venturing to the farthest reaches of the eastern Mediterranean. The band's performance captivated the critics at the Babel Med 2017 in Marseille, who described it as "one of the best proposals of the entire festival" and "one of the best Italian live acts." BandAdriatica has collaborated with artists such as Bombino, Mercan Dede, Rony Barrak, Savina Yannatou, Chieftains, Burhan Ochal, Kocani Orkestar, Boban Markovic Orchestra, Fanfara Tirana, Eva Quartet, Cafer Naziblas, Fanfare Ciocarlia, and Michel Godard.
