'A journey to Lourdes, a journey within oneself, sudden and overwhelming.

A woman suddenly and by chance catapulted into a pilgrimage, finds herself in places and situations she never even suspected existed, and tells us with amazement about her journey and the questions and issues that, hour after hour, arise in her mind.

Giancarlo Luce, without bringing to life a full-fledged female character, lets himself be inhabited by the thoughts, words, and feelings of the woman protagonist of the story, travels through the stages of the journey, both real and internal, of this woman and in this journey he welcomes the spectators.'

Giancarlo Luce, actor and director, trained in the Brechtian method, with director and playwright Carlo Formigoni (founder of the Teatro Kismet in Bari and recipient of the Career Award 2013 from the ANCT, National Association of Theater Critics) and Ettore Toscano (director, actor, and poet). He has around thirty theatrical productions to his credit and has participated in several films with important national directors and companies. From 1987 to 1993 he was an actor at the Teatro Kismet Opera in Bari. Since 1994, he has been the artistic director and president of Teatro delle Forche, a company for which he has directed numerous shows for children's theater and contemporary theater. As a cultural operator and trainer, he conducts and coordinates theater workshops in schools, day centers, and cultural and theatrical spaces.

Mariano Dammacco, playwright, director, and theater educator, is the author of shows such as La buona educazione, Esilio, L’inferno e la fanciulla, L’ultima notte di Antonio, Assedio, Dialoghi con le piante, Amleto e la statale 16, Sonia la rossa. He conducts his theatrical research by creating poetic, surreal, and humorous visions of our contemporary life and since 2009, he has been carrying out his work with the Piccola Compagnia Dammacco. His work has received recognition from awards such as ETI/Scenario, ETI/Vetrine, Il centro del discorso, In-Box, Rete Critica, Last Seen, CassinoOff. He has collaborated with artists such as Carlo Formigoni, Renata Molinari, Gabriele Vacis, Maria Paiato, Lella Costa, Angela Malfitano, Maurizio Viani, and with the Circuito Lirico Lombardo, directing opera productions. He has published several texts. One of his most recent works is the 'Trilogy of the End of the World': L’inferno e la fanciulla (2014), Esilio (2016), and La buona educazione (2018).

'Teatro delle Forche' cooperative led by Giancarlo Luce, produces shows, organizes meetings and reviews, and promotes training moments such as dramaturgical research paths, theater and artistic workshops, collaborating with schools. Particularly attentive to social issues, the "Teatro delle Forche" proposes a theater of civic engagement, which acts in society with a strong educational value.
