The Association "Amici di San Salvatore" will inaugurate on Thursday 8th August, at 6:00 pm, at the Church of S. M. della Zaffera in Monopoli, in via Santa Maria no. 32, near the Castello Carlo V, the solo exhibition of the painter Mino di Summa, an artist originally from Francavilla Fontana, known internationally.
The exhibition, which will be open to the public until 18th August, includes works that cover: the figurative, with mythological themes and introspective portraits; still life, with ancient and eternal stories, and landscapes dedicated to Puglia that evoke ancestral ties between man and nature, offering a unique interpretation of the beauties of our territory, through his sensitivity and artistic ability to enhance them.
At the basis of Mino di Summa's painting is the study from life of the subject, the awareness that in nature, in objects and in the figure there are secret aspects that only an attentive eye can reveal, giving life to paintings that go beyond the reality represented, reaching the soul of those who observe them, moving and reminding of the simplicity of human beings and their feelings.
With his works, Mino di Summa brings back those who observe them to marvel at a cloud, a flower, the gaze of a child, simple and profound things that give dignity to the existence of human beings.
Mino di Summa is a student of the painter Luciano Regoli, founder of the Scuola della Valle di Lazzaro on the Island of Elba, which pursues the mission of teaching and transmitting the values of the Great Painting, the increasingly forgotten classical Italian figurative art, of which he is a proud supporter.
Since 2001, he has participated in multiple national and international street art events, where he has found an expressive dimension that has allowed him to assert himself in prestigious festivals held in France, Germany, Florida, Georgia, Mexico, as well as Italy.
The exhibition will be open from 10 am to 1 pm and from 5 pm to 9 pm, with free admission.
