Our Association "Adottamici Gattofilando ODV" organizes dives in the blue throughout the month of August in the company of Marine Biologist and Ecologist Valentina Basile.
Certified NADD dive guide and former FIN Lifeguard Assistant, Valentina will accompany you underwater safely to discover the typical species of marine fauna and flora of our Adriatic coast, in the locations of Monopoli and Savelletri. What will you observe? Seaweed, sponges, corals, fish, mollusks, crustaceans and much more, of which you will learn about their biology, their life cycle and above all the impacts to which unfortunately these organisms are subjected, thus participating in a true CITIZEN SCIENCE activity.

Our Association, while dealing with feline strays, by statute carries out information and education programs on the themes of respect for other species and the ecosystem, which is why we support Valentina's cause to protect and safeguard the sea through active scientific dissemination!

ACTIVITIES:
The experience we offer includes:
- ????preliminary explanation on the correct use of equipment and aquatic techniques
- ?snorkeling to discover marine species and have lots of fun
- ?Underwater photos that will be given to you at the end of the activity
- ??Debriefing on the activity and curiosity about the species encountered :????????

Necessary equipment: fins, mask, breathing tube.
It is recommended to wear protective thermal shirts from UV rays or wetsuits and arm floats for children.
Upon request, equipment can be rented with an additional fee and will be provided.
Good aquatic skills are required.
Each snorkeling outing has a maximum of five people, excluding the guide.
The activity is suitable for both adults and children (from 6 years old and accompanied by at least one parent in the water).
The experience, lasting approximately 2 hours, includes 15 minutes for the explanation on the correct use of equipment and aquatic techniques.

SCHEDULE AND LOCATIONS:
The schedule and locations of the outings will be agreed in advance with Valentina based on the level of difficulty, weather and sea conditions, and your needs.
The chosen coves are:
?Torre Incina (Monopoli);
?Cala Copacabana (Monopoli);
?Cala Verde (Monopoli);
?Porto Marzano (Monopoli);
?Porto Ghiacciolo (Monopoli);
?Archeolido and Necropolis of Egnazia (Savelletri).

A MINIMUM DONATION FEE is required (including living expenses).
Aquatic insurance coverage is included.

ADVANCE RESERVATION WITH PAYMENT IS PREFERRED with the following methods (within 48 hours before the start of the activity it is possible to cancel and receive a refund of the entire fee paid).

The proceeds from snorkeling outings are donated to charity for the cats our Association takes care of.

NOTE: It is advisable to use your own fins, mask and breathing tube. In case participants do not have them, upon request you can rent them (cost excluded) and we will provide properly sanitized masks and snorkels.
