produced by FPM – Pugliesi Foundation for Music

On Wednesday 4 September at 9.00 pm, at Riva del Sole Hotel (SS16, km 787+225, Giovinazzo), "In the Blue Summer Festival" will have the pleasure of hosting, for its fourth appointment, one of the most beautiful voices of the national panorama: Karima in "Lifetime".

With only the accompaniment of the piano, the artist from Livorno tells his story through music, his faithful life companion, taking a journey through memories, emotions and passion. To do this he chooses the songs that have most marked his path, among some of these stand out "Lullaby of Birdland", the first song sung for a jam session at the age of 18, "Greatest Love of All", a song by his muse, Whitney Houston and “Lately”. To undertake this journey she relies on the friendship and talent of Piero Frassi, who dresses her voice with beautiful arrangements.

Born in Livorno, Karima approached music as a child, taking part first in Bravo Bravissimo and then in Domenica In. In 2006 she entered the program "Amici di Maria De Filippi", placing third and winning the critics' award. In the same year he signed with Sony Bmg and recorded his first EP. The colors of jazz, soul, blues and even gospel coexist and express themselves in his powerful and significant voice. His powerful voice combines jazz, soul, blues and gospel. He participated in the 2009 Sanremo Festival and collaborated with Burt Bacharach, who produced his first album. She sang for Disney performing the theme song in the animated film "The Princess and the Frog", opened concerts for Whitney Houston and John Legend, and was the lead in the musical "The Bodyguard". He participated in Tale e Quale Show and I Migliori Anni on Rai 1, with Umbria Jazz he represents Italy at international festivals. In 2021 he released the album “No Filter”, followed in 2022 by “Xmas”, a Christmas album.

"In the Blue Summer Festival” is produced and promoted by FPM – Fondazione Pugliesi per la Musica, with the artistic direction of Antonio Pisani and in partnership with Riva del Sole Hotel.
