Lovers follows the story of the relationship between Giulio and Claudia, alternating their meetings in a hotel with the dialogues each of them has with Dr. Cioffi, who obviously ignores that her two problematic patients have a relationship with each other. Thus, their story unfolds between meetings in bed, and the truths or lies they simultaneously tell the doctor, from whom they go alone or together with their respective partners, Laura and Roberto. A temporal progression made of misunderstandings, deceptions, false steps, fake introductions, lies, complications, caution, and even narrowly avoided troubles.

Lovers is a new two-act comedy about love, sex, betrayal, and marriage, about long-term relationships and short-lived adventures, about male and female, and ultimately about the search for happiness that always takes different paths than those planned. A brilliant and amusing comedy, with situations and dialogues that elicit laughter, but also an exploration of the feelings of a couple who find refuge, comfort, fun, but also anxiety, worry, and perhaps danger in secrecy.
