Francesca and Giulio, apparently, seem like a stable and solid couple until Francesca, a world-famous pianist, unexpectedly returns from a work trip and discovers and prevents Giulio, a recognized psychoanalyst, from committing the irreparable. For her, Giulio's behavior seems inexplicable, there had been no warning signs.

Why then?

The comedy begins from Francesca's initial shock and the need to understand the gesture that her partner was about to make: to abandon everything, to leave forever, clinging to the chandelier in their house, on the table in their kitchen. A farewell letter would have allowed her to understand his reasons but he did not write it. This will be followed by a night during which the couple is forced to take stock of their lives, choices and non-choices, the irreconcilability of some thoughts and actions, and inevitably, their relationship. The longevity of the couple is debated, as well as desire, inadequacy, the constant interrogations capable of challenging time. We hide behind our routines every day, clinging to our more or less satisfying jobs, in search of those long-awaited successes but which, as the engine of our lives, have become traps for our souls.

In the face of great pain, there are two possibilities: either succumb or find the motivation to reignite our gaze, exposing our souls and revealing the hiding places of our hearts. Just one night to leave or love each other again. Just one night to reinvent one's destiny. The text by Audrey Schebat, alternating between anger and humor, with an unusual strength, shakes its characters, entertaining and moving the audience.
