The Unsuspected is a play by Shaffer (English author of Amadeus), from which two important films were also derived, which focuses on the game and challenge between two men who apparently love the same woman. I used the adjective apparent, to underline the terribly current aspect of this play: the duel, or rather, the war between two narcissists. The desire to prevail and win over the opponent is actually much stronger than the love for the contested woman. This is, in my humble opinion, the most modern key to Shaffer's text, which we will try to bring out in our staging. Without betraying the irony and charm that the author infuses in the characters and colors of the story, from the very first lines. We will try to highlight the most interesting aspect of this wonderful text: the illness of modern man who, in the name of exclusive self-worship, is even depriving himself of the noblest and greatest feeling that can exist: love. It is a mystery full of twists and comedy; it is no coincidence that the role of the writer will be played by Greg in partnership with Fabio Troiano, and both, through irony and British humor, will lead the audience in an extremely captivating theatrical game.
