The project born from the meeting between the performer Francesca Merloni, the director Nicoletta Robello and Radicanto, a musical group from Puglia that moves between folk and Italian singer-songwriter genres, develops around the desire to address contemporary themes with a textual language made of words and music. The occasion for the first work is given by the encounter with 'Borderlife' by Dorit Rabinyan, a novel that, published in 2016, tackles in an original and unsettling way the burning issue of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Thematically inspired by this work, which alludes to a contemporary version of Romeo and Juliet, 'Labile Borders' is a great impossible love story between a Jew and a Palestinian in New York, a meeting of souls and cultures that serves as a pretext for a reflection on the unresolved conflicts that inflame the contemporary world.
