Janas s'incantu - teatro ragazzi

The Sardinian Janas are coming to Puglia!
On Friday, October 18th, the company Le Voci di Astarte, in collaboration with Associazione Effetto Terra and Le Fabulé, presents Janas s'incantu at 6:30pm at Parco Campagneros. With Gloria Uccheddu, live music by Rafaella Bandiera, technical direction by Veronica Oppes, directed by Sabrina Barlini. A production of Le Voci di Astarte realized with the support of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia.
Janas s'incantu revolves around the whymsical Janas, creatures of Sardinian culture, guardians of ancient knowledge, placed by popular legends in the Domus de Janas, megalithic monuments of which the island is full. It is Sardinia itself, between myth and legend, that is explored in the work, through poetic devices that transport the audience on a journey with the protagonist and her inseparable suitcase.
The narration aims to reach the heart and consciousness of the listeners, unraveling an ancient story that can still accompany us in the present through the magical atmosphere of theater. A show dedicated to girls and boys, but also enjoyable by the adults who accompany them, a way to bring Sardinian culture beyond the sea, creating a regional comparison in which the differences between cultures can only represent further richness.

The work is based on the book of the same name Janas s'incantu and represents an action of the project Janas-Lab financed by the regional ERDF POR CulturLab 2018.

Le Voci di Astarte is a professional company, recognized by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, that operates in the field of research and experimentation, colliding with other artistic languages and new technologies.
