The intense musical adventure continues, by Culture and Music G. Curci - ETS, after the umpteenth success of the Trio Rospigliosi, which saw an enthusiastic and participatory audience, as for all the other concerts of this engaging and multifaceted Musical Autumn, now in its 40th Edition, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and the Puglia Region. An Autumn that presents talents and established artists in an alternation of different genres and formations that tend to create a musical path of the highest level and great interest, both for music enthusiasts and for those who want to listen to different proposals. Venue, Auditorium of the Laboratorio Urbano Gos, in Viale Marconi, 49, doors open at 6:00pm and concert starts at 6:30pm. On Sunday, October 20th, appointment with the Duo Dimitri Mattu - viola, and Angela Oliviero, piano, with a concert entirely dedicated to 19th century Chamber Music "1800: A century between fantasy and academicism" in balance between virtuosity, melody and technique, which will feature the viola, for a sound journey between melodies and extremely beautiful adagios interspersed with cheerful dances and variations. From Beethoven to Schumann, ending with the refined and burlesque irony of Saint-Saen's Danse Macabre. A refined duo of great prestige and experience, composed of two excellent musicians with an intense concert career, also as soloists in Italy and abroad, open to current musical trends, two internationally renowned artists, coming from different musical experiences, who have always shown, during their numerous recitals, a remarkable ability to understand and communicate. The Duo was formed in 2007: an encounter between two interesting musicians with a long experience behind them. Both have been trained at the most prestigious Italian schools: Dimitri Mattu comes from the viola school of Piero Farulli. Already principal viola in several orchestras, Dimitri Mattu passionately dedicates himself to teaching and chamber music in various formations. Angela Oliviero studied in Naples with maestro Aldo Tramma, of the famous Neapolitan school of Vincenzo Vitale, then studying with the pianist Aldo Ciccolini. The repertoire of this dynamic duo includes all the most important works for viola and piano and includes a wide selection of contemporary music, including compositions by composers who have written for them and that they have premiered. They have performed many concerts worldwide, as well as in major Italian cities such as Rome, Bari, Venice, Cagliari, Cosenza, Cremona, Oristano, Udine, Perugia, Florence, Sassari, Ragusa ..., they are regularly invited to hold masterclasses and recitals in the most important cities of Hungary, Scotland, England, Romania and China. In 2011, they embarked on a long tour in China which saw them performing in cities such as Shanghai, Handan, Tianjin, Dalian... They have recorded a CD distributed by "Stradivarius" with a repertoire entirely dedicated to German Romanticism, for the record label Inviolata, which was presented and broadcasted by RAI Radio 3 in the program Primo Movimento. In addition to their regular teaching activities as professors at the Cagliari Conservatory, they hold several specialization courses every year for both instruments and Chamber Music in which they often play together with their students. They are regularly invited both individually and as a duo on national and international competition juries.
