THE FRONTMAN OF THE POP-ROCK GROUP LE VIBRAZIONI ON THE STAGE OF THE PETRUZZELLI THEATRE SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9TH WITH THE ORCHESTRA DELLA MAGNA GRECIA CONDUCTED BY ANGELO NIGRO
On Saturday, November 9th at 8:30 PM, the Petruzzelli Theatre prepares to host "Vibes," the second unmissable event of the Notti di Stelle winter series and a new symphonic project by the versatile artist Francesco Sarcina.
The beloved frontman of the pop-rock group Le Vibrazioni presents a symphonic live performance with an original sound, thanks to the collaboration of the Orchestra della Magna Grecia directed by Angelo Nigro, and adding a choral dimension to the event, the Lucania & Apulia Chorus prepared by Daniela Nasti. Known for his energy and charisma, as well as for his unmistakable vocal timbre, Sarcina has captivated audiences since the early 2000s with iconic songs like "Dedicato a te" and "Vieni da me." Francesco Sarcina began his career playing guitar in Milanese bands, but his destiny changed when, in 1999, he founded Le Vibrazioni with drummer Alessandro Deidda, guitarist Stefano Verderi, and bassist Marco Castellani. The band first participated in the Sanremo Festival in 2005 with "Ovunque andrò," solidifying their presence in the Italian music scene with albums like Le Vibrazioni II (2005), Officine Meccaniche (2008), and Le strade del tempo (2010). After a hiatus in 2012, Sarcina launched a highly successful solo career, releasing the albums Io (2014) and Femmina (2015), and participating in the 2014 Sanremo Festival. 2017 marked the reunion of the band, which returned to prominence with participation in Sanremo 2018 and a series of radio hits, culminating in the 2019 tour and the celebration of their 20-year career in 2020. In 2021, Sarcina published his autobiographical book "Nel Mezzo" and Le Vibrazioni initiated the theatrical project "In Orchestra" with Beppe Vessicchio.
This second night of stars will be a pop-rock journey “dedicated” this time to the Camerata audience, who will have the chance to listen to the great successes of the Milanese singer-songwriter, from his solo experiences to the successes of Le Vibrazioni, with new orchestral arrangements curated by Maestro Angelo Nigro, who is also involved in the direction of the Orchestra della Magna Grecia, a Puglian ensemble often chosen by great singer-songwriters for symphonic live projects.
Nigro, a pianist, composer, and arranger, has collaborated with Italian and international artists in symphonic and television contexts and is currently the musical director at Art Village and a professor at the Trieste Conservatory. The Lucania & Apulia Chorus, founded in 2014, is one of the most vibrant choral formations in Southern Italy, with over 150 concerts to its credit. Prepared by Maestro Daniela Nasti—a pianist, composer, and teacher at the Monopoli Conservatory—the choir is known for its versatility, ranging from baroque to contemporary music and adapting its lineup as needed.
What awaits us is an event not to be missed, once again signed by the Artistic Direction of Maestro Dino De Palma, another hit for all lovers of good music and live emotions.
The series, realized with the contribution of the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Bari, is supported by four local businesses via the Art Bonus: Garofoli Spa, Studio Legale Verile, Gruppo Salatto, and Levante Logistica srl.
The event is part of the Great Regional Events and is co-financed by the European Union, the Italian Republic, the Puglia Region, the Department of Tourism with Pugliapromozione. POC Puglia 2014-2020 Axis VI, Action 6.8.
