**Classical music and jazz for the 2024 edition of the Salento Organ Festival, which on Saturday, November 9 at 6:30 PM, makes a stop in Lecce at the Church of Santa Maria della Grazia with a concert (free entry) dedicated to the powerful polyphony of Bach and Händel: featured artists, in duo and solo performances, are Roberto Esposito on piano and Carlo Maria Barile on the 1982 Pinchi organ.**

The two young musicians, talented keyboard virtuosos, will present a program centered on the great Baroque composers "Starting from Bach and Händel." From Bach, we will hear the *Toccata and Fugue in D minor*, the *Chorale “Jesus bleibet meine Freude”*, and the *Prelude in C Major* BWV 846. From Händel, the *Passacaglia from Suite No. 7 in G minor* and the *Suite HWV 428 in D minor* will be performed. The concert, transitioning between classical music and jazz sounds, also includes improvisations by the musicians on themes from famous arias and songs: from Händel’s *“Lascia ch’io pianga”* to Dowland’s *“Come Again”* and Bach’s *“Sheep may safely graze.”*

**Roberto Esposito**, born in Tricase in 1984, studied in Parma with Roberto Cappello, earning a specialized piano degree in 2011 with top honors. From there, he began his concert career and collaborations in the classical and jazz fields, performing alongside pillars of Italian and international music history such as Fabrizio Bosso and Philip Glass. **Carlo Maria Barile**, born in Ferrara in 1989, is a young organist trained at the Niccolò Piccinni Conservatory in Bari. Alongside his classical studies, he trained in jazz, studying piano and drums with Vito di Modugno and Michele Di Monte and at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has performed as a soloist at venues including Dizzy's Club Jazz at Lincoln Center, Steinway Hall and St. Peter’s Church in New York City, Toledo Cathedral, and Iglesia del Salvador in Granada, Spain.
