"Secca d’acqua" is the new music production by singer-songwriter Vincenzo Maggiore and musician Giancarlo Pagliara.

A minimalistic album, piano and voice, that shines a light on the "Brindisi that no longer exists," drawing inspiration from the poetic work of Francesco Romanelli, one of the last master shipwrights of the city.

Like a brief and intense "sound itinerary" aboard a schiafarieddu (a typical local fishermen's boat), conducted through a slow and silent row, the work attempts to bring back part of that romantic imagery that was characteristic of the old Sciabiche Quarter.

The crowning jewel of the album is the track created through the "La città che non c’è" project, promoted by Eridano Social Cooperative of Brindisi and by the Urban Lab Movements. It is dedicated to a group of young schoolchildren from the province, with contributions from primary school teacher and singer-songwriter Paola Petrosillo, musician Giancarlo Pagliara, the shipwright master and president of the Vogatori Remuri Francesco Romanelli, and singer-songwriter Vincenzo Maggiore.

A very strong cultural operation to enhance the connection of the youngest with their land of origin, to stimulate creativity and relational spirit, in line with the goals pursued by the Eridano Social Cooperative.

Within the album, there are precious contributions from musicians of the caliber of Giorgio Distante (tuba), Stefano Rielli (double bass), Vito de Lorenzi (percussion), Valerio Daniele (guitars), and Isabella Benone (violin) who enriched the songs included. Among these is also a bonus track, a cover of the historic Brindisi song "Va cantu pi te," written by Giovanni Guarino and Alfredo Vitale, reinterpreted with great sensitivity by the duo and appreciated by Guarino's family.
