During the winter solstice, the sun will be at its maximum distance below the celestial equator, marking the shortest day of the year. From this moment onward, the Sun will begin to ascend towards the celestial equator, and daylight hours will gradually increase. It's a special occasion to greet our star from a place as fascinating as it is mysterious: the Rocca del Garagnone, with its breathtaking view stretching from the Pollino to the Vulture.

The day includes a morning excursion to the Acquatetta forest, reaching as far as the Cavone chasm, a karst sinkhole approximately 90 meters deep. This will be followed by lunch at the Poggiorsini grillhouse and then our destination: the summit of the Rocca (600 m), where the historical and archaeological tales of the site will enable us to explore and understand its mysteries.
