Women in...Art 2025

From 26 January to 8 February 2025 at the Museum of Colour Pigments at the Santa Teresa dei Maschi Art Centre in the old city of Bari the eleventh edition of ‘Women in...Art’ starts. Sunday 26 January at 6.00 p.m. opening with talks by Miguel Gomez, director of the Museum of Colour Pigments, and Michela Barausse, art critic and member of the European Union art experts. The initiative stems from the desire to learn more about the Universe-Woman through the kaleidoscope of the arts, where freedom of thought and speech become key players. The aim is to deepen our understanding of the values that unite men and women that history has separated in a speculative manner. In this edition, we seek to build relationships between artists from countries such as Italy, Palestine, Iraq and Albania, whose undisputed contribution to human civilisation and history is recognised. On display are works by: Anna Aldighieri, Rima Almozyyen, Claudia Bisson, Michela Brogliato, Beatrice d'Abbicco, Gloria V Fenaroli, Aneta Ivanovic, Annalisa Melle, Aryan Rafiq, Sarah Vetrani. Among the artists present will be an important testimony by Aryan Rafiq on the condition of women in Iraq. Three literary presentations are scheduled, Wednesday 29 January at 6 p.m. presentation of ‘Scisma’ ed. Le Flaneurs, by Ilaria Palomba, a poem that takes shape from Ilaria Polomba's shared poetic diary in the hospital spinal unit of the CTO in Garbatella. Scisma speaks of suicide, disability, hospitalisation, refusal of the gift of life and then the return to Faith and in God. Friday 31 January, 6 p.m. presentation of ‘Unis Mundus ’ Body and Psyche: an unavoidable connection. ed. Moretti e Vitali, by Giusi Porzio. An essay in Analytical Psychology, the result of twenty years of research into the connection between Psyche and Matter, on esoteric, spiritual, philosophical and quantum physics aspects.
Friday 7 February, 6 p.m. Presentation of ‘Nella guerra che tu chiami Amore’ ed. Cappone by Beatrice D'Abbicco, Each composition is a taboo overcome, a fear defeated, a new point of view on contemporary reality and on myself, rediscovering pleasure beyond daily difficulties and stereotypes. I search for love in the broadest sense, but I still find it a prisoner of destructive and patriarchal patterns. So I contest it. 'They will ask you to be quiet. And so speak, write. Anything that disturbs a tyranny is Poetry'.
