The Confraternity of Santa Maria degli Angeli, as per tradition, dedicates this day to the Virgin Mary with moments of prayer, the Eucharistic Celebration, and a concert titled "To Our Lady of Sorrows" performed by the wind orchestra "Santa Cecilia of the city of Gallipoli" conducted by Maestro Alessandro Manzolelli, with the participation of Maestro Luigi Solidoro on the 18th-century organ, Maestro Tommaso Passeri on the violin, and the soprano voices of Antonella Marzi and Laura De Vita.

The funeral marches owned by the Confraternity will be performed, interspersed with other pieces of sacred music typical of Holy Week.

The Our Lady of Sorrows is a 18th-century wooden statue that is carried in procession every year by the Confraternity during the Good Friday Procession.
