Migraine is a band from Brindisi that revives purely alternative/stoner/rock sounds, with distorted guitars and a decidedly "gritty" bass.

A power trio composed of drummer and founder Jordan Rech, joined first by Alex Pagano on bass and then Vinnie Brown on guitar and vocals.

This project is fully placed within the universe of rock with a sound that nods to the past without forgetting that the present demands new references and new inspirations.

There is no real story behind the name Migraine, which, when translated into Italian, means "headache," a very common condition among people. We like to think that music can relieve this discomfort, but in reality, it can also worsen it. It also depends on one's state of mind.

"The range goes from Queens of the Stone Age (Autumn Dance) to alt-metal like Deftones (Files and Nails), through the grunge of Last Shot, up to the roots of protopunk like the Stooges (the title track Migraine). Despite strong callbacks to the past traditions of rock, Migraine manages the difficult task of infusing energetic vitality into their sound. Song after song, the passion that fueled the Puglian trio in making the album shines through: while not musically inventing anything new, Migraine creates a celebratory manifesto of 90s rock; and they do so not by playing the card of hollow, nostalgic re-proposition, but by reviving the sounds they love and making them sound as if they were born today. In an era where musical past is mechanically dredged up in the hope of garnering a few more streams, Migraine’s dedication is something that elicits admiration for the confidence with which it is carried out.
