'NGHEEAHA!
Written and directed by Enzo Vacca, featuring puppets, ancient games, and... volunteer spectators.
Production: Gruppo Abeliano

Thinking of old street games as merely a nostalgic matter is definitely a gross misjudgment. In fact, the wealth of experiences, from friendship to socialization, the ability to tackle small and large obstacles, decision-making autonomy, group activities, imagination, and creativity in games, etc., remains quite challenging and costly to achieve for today's children, who are also burdened with issues like conformity, TV and smartphones, and the onset of loneliness. Hence, here is a spectacular proposal born from the idea of two veteran playful friends who, friends since first grade, not only engaged in all the so-called street games but continued to "play" on stage throughout their lives. There are two or three generations of adults who will fondly remember the carefree and beautiful times of childhood games when the streets still offered safe spaces for playing. And there are children who can learn and pass on those games, perhaps after experiencing them with enjoyment.

This type of show preserves the authenticity of ancient street games and combines it with the simplicity of execution (spaces, set elements, props, etc.) and the ability to involve an audience ranging from small to large spectators in the event.
