*"All mothers in the world are beautiful," sang Claudio Villa in the 1950s, but in this sea of mothers emerges a specimen with tricolor roots, the Italica Mother, who is distinguished by an innate vocation for giving, remedying, resolving, mending, caregiving, and finding solutions and answers.
She who anticipated the concept of multitasking well before the term was coined, She who knows even before truly knowing, She who effortlessly transitions from computer to rolling pin, inspired the book "L’Italica Madre-il Prontuario" by Valeria Cavalli, who also adapted it into a theater production. She offers us an ironically realistic portrait made up of glimpses of daily life that we recognize as our own because they inhabit us in an ancestral way.
The talented and versatile Manila Barbati, well-directed by the skillful hand of Claudio Intropido, entertains and moves us, fulfilling the unexpected task of reconciling not only with the mother we had and the mother we are but also with the Italic families raised in this land of ours made of laughter and melancholy.*

Following the performance, as is customary, our members can nourish the body and quench their thoughts after feeding the soul, with poetic dishes seasoned with rhyming vegetables, expertly prepared by our actress/poet Renza Luxemburg and accompanied by a fresh pink nectar, all locally sourced…
