LILO & STITCH
Directed by Dean Fleischer-Camp. A Must-see 2025 film starring Maia Kealoha, Chris Sanders, Sydney Agudong, Zach Galifianakis, Billy Magnussen. Original title: Lilo & Stitch. Genre: Adventure, Action - USA, 2025, duration 108 minutes.
One of the most compelling Disney live-action films, reaffirming an always relevant message of inclusivity and peace.
Perhaps it's the innovative strength of the story already present in the original animated film, perhaps it's the vision of director Dean Fleischer Camp, previously known for the splendid stop-motion work Marcel the Shell, perhaps it's the spot-on casting of the two leading sisters, but the live-action version of Lilo & Stitch works mainly because it is anchored in reality in a certain way. Sure, there's all the science fiction aspect with Stitch, who is really identified by a code — Experiment 626 — and comes from the planet Turo, where he was created by the mad scientist Jumba Jookiba to cause havoc, awaiting 'alienation' by the President of the United Galactic Federation. In essence, he's an alien shunned by his community and finds a somewhat "broken" family on earth, with Lilo Pelekai who, after the tragic loss of her parents, lives with her newly adult sister Nani. Lilo, six years old, will embrace what seems to her a dog, even if blue, naming him Stitch and keeping him at home against the will of her sister, who already has her hands full with social workers ready to assess their solitary living negatively.

THE STOLEN PAINTING the thrilling film by Pascal Bonitzer about the rediscovery of Egon Schiele’s “Sunflowers”
Directed by Pascal Bonitzer. A Must-see 2025 film starring Alex Lutz, Léa Drucker, Nora Hamzawi, Louise Chevillotte, Arcadi Radeff. Full cast Original title: Le Tableau Volé. Genre: Drama - France, duration 91 minutes.
An elegant film with brilliant writing and high-level performances. The deception of art. Pascal Bonitzer's film moves along the dialectic between real and fake, inspired by an incredible true story with a title that openly pays homage to Raúl Ruiz's The Hypothesis of the Stolen Painting.
