Palio Delle Botti Gioia del Colle VIII Edizione 2025
An authentic medieval reenactment, a symbol of Gioia del Colle, that combines sports, art, food and wine, and local folklore. Athletes (the "pushers") roll 225-liter barrique barrels, painted each year by local and non-local artists, along a city route. The winery/district that covers the distance in the shortest time, while adhering to medieval rules, wins. A historical parade, falconry, educational booths, jesters, flags, music, and markets enhance the atmosphere.

And more: "Jesters' Race," "Most Beautiful Barrel Award," "Small Pushers' Palio," "Barrel Palio Trophy 'City of Primitivo'," artists' street, solidarity street, artisan markets, and much more.
