The literary event "Per gusto e per diletto" returns to Ceglie Messapica for its fourth edition, organized by the local government and the artistic direction of Gianmichele Pavone. This year's program once again includes many guests who will satisfy the most discerning readers over the course of nine events from July 1st to September 1st.
The event will open on Tuesday, July 1st, at 6:30 PM, at the Chiostro dei Domenicani, which is also the site of the Med Cooking School (via G. Elia, n. 1), with Pietro Pisaneschi, author of the book "Odiarsi un po’. Storie e retroscena delle straordinarie rivalità del ciclismo," published by Hoepli.
Pietro Pisaneschi is a publicist journalist dedicated particularly to basketball, cycling, and American sports in general. He is a commentator for Eurosport and a contributor to the Brescia edition of Corriere della Sera.
The book was co-authored with Luca Gregorio, also a journalist and sports commentator, and together they revisited the last sixty years of major cycling competitions (the Tour, the Giro, the classics) through twelve clashes between the champions: from Gimondi and Ocaña to Moser and Saronni, who continued to spar even after they stopped competing, to the recent rivalries between Pogacar and Vingegaard, Van Aert and Van Der Poel, which have reignited fans' enthusiasm for a sport where the contact with the riders is very close, passing through many others, including the pirate Pantani, an adversary primarily of himself.
Antonio Licciulli, a Professor of Engineering at the University of Salento and president of the Cicloamici association - Mesagne section of the Italian Federation for the Environment and Bicycle (FIAB), where he is also a member of the technical group, will interview him.
The event will continue with the following appointments, all open to the public and free of charge:
