The "De Falla" Guitar Orchestra is entirely composed of musicians from Bari and Puglia, and is unique in Europe in its genre, both for its original ensemble, consisting of about 20 guitarists (among them teachers and graduates from the "N. Piccinni" Conservatory of Bari) thus making this usually solo instrument the basis of the orchestral ensemble, and for its repertoire that embraces diverse musical genres. Hence, within the same concert, this formation ranges from Classical to Flamenco, to contemporary music reinterpreted in an orchestral and guitaristic key! It is also unique for the particular ensemble composed almost entirely of guitarists, an instrument that originated as a soloist but becomes orchestral in this context, thanks to the original transcription and arrangement work personally overseen by the Director, M° Pasquale Scarola. The solo guest of the evening is the fingerpicking guitarist DANNY TRENT, finalist of the “Acoustic Guitarist Of The Year 2020” award given by Guitar World and Guitar Player Magazine, a talented musician deeply connected to North America where he often performs at prestigious festivals like the NAMM Show in Los Angeles...

**BARI GUITAR FEST 2025**
from July 7th to September 13th, 2025
**-eight free admission events-**
After the undeniable success with the public and critics of the first edition, the “Bari Guitar Fest 2025” returns during the summer, which we might consider as the first Bari experiment of a multidisciplinary festival centered on the world of guitar! Drawing on over twenty years of experience that the Cultural and Musical Association De Falla has in the guitar field, it has managed to create a lineup of events ranging from concerts to workshops, seminars to lecture-concerts, combining different artistic disciplines such as music, cinema, operetta, and acting, and traversing various musical genres from classical to jazz, country to modern music, South American folklore to great cinema soundtracks, all realized in a "widespread theater" that will encompass different areas of the city, always bringing the main theme of this project—the world of guitar—to the forefront! A feature of this edition aimed at educating, involving, and attracting new audiences will be the "Film Music Laboratory" scheduled from July 7th to July 25th, 2025, in the afternoon at UNIKA Academy in JAPIGIA, consisting of six theoretical sessions on six musical genres and nine practical sessions related to the previously analyzed themes. In the six theoretical sessions, various musical genres used for soundtracks will be analyzed and explained: The Great Spectacle - Classical and Orchestral Music (from Star Wars to Jurassic Park); Suspense Atmospheres (with examples from films like Psycho or The Shining); Romantic Music (like Titanic or Life is Beautiful); Action and Adventure Music (like Indiana Jones or Mission Impossible); and finally, Western Music and Various Styles. Additionally, there will be a special focus in this edition on the participation of the most vulnerable. Apart from being present in all venues used, with spots for the disabled and no architectural barriers, two of the eight proposed shows, in which spoken and sung parts are prevalent, will also feature two certified L.I.S. (Italian Sign Language for the Deaf) interpreters. These shows will be: “I SAW NINA FLY - TRIBUTE TO DE ANDRÈ” (a "Theater & Music" show with spoken, sung parts, and presentations, all in Italian); and "Echoes of Beauty: the world of operetta and chamber music" (an "Operetta" show with classical spoken and sung parts and presentations, all in Italian).
