Comprised of musicians with solid training and a balanced sense of musical aesthetics, they perform intense performances full of pathos. Its leader, Maurizio Di Fulvio, has received praise from major newspapers, and specialized critics consider him one of the most interesting guitarists on the international scene. In its stylistic approach and interpretation, the Maurizio Di Fulvio Trio combines moments dominated by rigor and the adoption of formal procedures borrowed from the European tradition with moments of authentic impromptu practice in accordance with the linguistic and expressive canons of African and Latin American musical culture. The concert's program, through original combinations, presents an elegant and captivating interpretation of the "Brazilian choro" and the "Italian Neapolitan tradition" while simultaneously offering an eclectic and fascinating performance of "Latin jazz."
