When the courage of women becomes collective inspiration

Nardò, July 2025 – The Artemide Award returns for its third edition, with an event that is affirmed as one of the most significant in the cultural and social landscape of Salento. Born from the need to give voice and visibility to the stories of women who, with determination and talent, enrich the human and professional fabric of the territory, the Award aims to be a tool of appreciation and inspiration, especially for the new generations.

Away from the circuits of more conventional recognitions, the Artemide Award shines a light on female figures often little known but with a strong social and cultural impact. Women who do not give up, who pursue their goals with passion and who, just like the goddess Artemis – from whom the Award takes its name – symbolize freedom, sisterhood, and the ability to achieve their goals.

In a society still marked by deep gender imbalances, the Award aims to fill a gap in narration and representation, recognizing the value of women who, through their work in the fields of science, culture, entrepreneurship, and sports, have brought prestige to Nardò, Salento, and the entire Puglia Region.

After the success of the first two editions – which awarded excellences such as astrophysicist Alessandra Giannuzzi, pianist Laura Pinnella, director Francesca Muci, and Paralympic athlete Sabrina Rizzo – the 2025 edition is enriched with important new features: the hosting by TG1 journalist Isabella Romano, the television broadcast on Antenna Sud (channel 14) and Teleregione (channel 77), as well as the live streaming on www.antennasud.com.

The event, sponsored by the Presidency of the Puglia Region, the Presidency of the Regional Council of Puglia, and the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Nardò, is promoted and organized by the association Bellissimamente. It will take place in the evocative setting of the botanical garden of the Acquaviva d'Aragona Castle in Nardò.

Enhancing the evening will be musical performances by singer Giusy Colì, accompanied on the piano by maestro Paco Carrieri, and a refined wine and food tasting curated by Schola Sarmenti winery and renowned chef Salvatore Lega.

The recognition consists of a precious piece from the collection "In Sync" by Nardò sculptor Dario Tarantino, a female figure stretched upward, perfectly embodying the spirit of the Award.

The Artemide Award thus confirms itself not only as a celebration of female merit, but also as a cultural and symbolic act: an invitation to recognize and support the fundamental contribution of women to the social, economic, and civil progress of our country.
