Escursione al tramonto - P. Naz. dell'Alta Murgia

On Sunday, July 27, we will set off in the afternoon for a historical and naturalistic itinerary showcasing a wide variety of landscapes: from an extraordinary sequence of rocky ridges and slopes, to gentle hills, gullies, extensive natural pastures and cultivated lands, coniferous forests, all against the backdrop of the imposing octagonal mass of Castel Del Monte amid the warm colors of sunset and the magic of the night. During the journey, we will reveal the architectural uniqueness of this monument, shrouded in an aura of mystery, and the beauty of the celestial vault. A suggestive route that will offer intense emotions and spectacular views between enveloping silences and starlit skies.

Program:
- 5:30 PM: Meeting at the free parking lot below Castel del Monte;
- 6:00 PM: Departure for the trek
- Narration of the historical and architectural events of the "fortress of mysteries"
- Navigating by the stars: recognition of stars, constellations, and their characteristics
- Shared picnic

Mandatory Equipment:
Trekking shoes, mountain backpack, layered clothing, long and comfortable pants, hat, trekking poles (recommended), headlamp or handheld torch with spare batteries, water bottle with at least 1.5 liters of water, packed dinner.

Guidance and Safety:
Present figures: Mid-Mountain Guide, Cultural Naturalistic Operator, Amateur Astronomers, Archaeologist.
• The guide reserves the right to modify the program, itinerary, or methods of conducting the excursion to ensure the group's safety, based on weather conditions, path conditions, or any other circumstances that may compromise participants' safety.
