Italian Cinematography Awards

Italian Cinematography Awards (I.C.A.) is an international short film festival held in Castellana Grotte. It aims to select particularly deserving works from around the world, giving prominence to each piece, which will be carefully reviewed by a team of experts.

The festival will take place over two evenings, featuring screenings of the winning works from their respective categories. To ensure active and dynamic viewing by the audience, the screenings will include the presence of the authors of the proposed works, allowing them to engage with the viewers and fostering a more direct understanding of the work and the "cinematographic product."

The event aims to have minimal formalism, immersing the audience in the festival atmosphere from the start, with spaces suitably set up and available for visual art exhibitions.

Several special guests are expected, including actresses Caterina Valente and Guendalina Losito, who will converse with Serena Greco.

The Italian Cinematography Awards is a Joyful People Company - ETS event organized in partnership with Mosaico – APS and includes an off section in the autumn organized in collaboration with Raparossa. The event is sponsored by the Municipality of Castellana Grotte, Grotte di Castellana, and Civil Service of Castellana. Media partners include: Canale7 – OmbraMagazine – Equipho. The artistic direction is entrusted to Joyful People Company, which over the years has enhanced the audiovisual cultural heritage, not only through the production of short films and documentaries screened worldwide but also through the publication of an international photography and cinema magazine (Ombra Magazine), an arts festival (Frankenstein Factory), and a podcast (Colazione Compresa). Numerous collaborations and productions have already received significant public acclaim, earning national and international recognition.
