Monday, August 11 at 6:30 PM at The Academy of the Restless by Donatella Caprioglio, the Teatro Folletti e Folli presents "The Garden of Memories," a presentation of the annual workshop "The Actor's Game" conducted by Dario Ubaldo Lacitignola.

THE GARDEN OF MEMORIES
loosely inspired by Anton Chekhov's "The Cherry Orchard," tells the story of the decline of a Russian aristocratic family and their struggle to retain their estate, including a valuable cherry orchard, which is set to be auctioned off due to significant debts. The young Lopachin, the son of a serf, proposes to parcel out the estate to save it, but the family is too attached to the past and the image of the orchard, which with its cherry trees, represents a glorious past—a sentimental bond that the owners are unwilling to relinquish. Thus, the conflict between past and present highlights the nobility's inability to adapt to change. Our personalization of the work introduces the personal memories and emotions of the actors. This reinterpretation does not stray from the theme, as through the everyday life stories, everyone can see themselves, be moved, and perhaps feel the urge to share a memory of their own.
Starring Carmela Ammirabile, Carmen Milone, Enza Asciano, Francesco Cofano, Franco Chialà, Giovanna Ammirabile, Del Vecchio Luigi, Maria Ciraci, Maria Semeraro, Mattia Roma, Miriam Tamburrino, Teresa Annicchiarico.
