Dieta Mediterranea protagonista a Casalini

On August 17th, in the enchanting setting of the Organic Farm Il Frantoio D'Amico in Casalini di Cisternino, "Trisole – Flavors & Traditions" returns, celebrating local food and wine culture, craftsmanship, and conviviality.

At 7:00 PM, the highlight will be the presentation of the book “Mediterranean Diet. Journey through science, tradition, and ancient flavors to discover the secret of longevity” by Vincenza Gianfredi (published by Gribaudo). This work combines scientific rigor and storytelling, guiding the reader through a journey of epidemiological studies, testimonies, recipes, and traditional knowledge. The volume explains how the Mediterranean Diet is not just a dietary model but a true lifestyle capable of promoting health, preventing diseases, and preserving the cultural heritage of our lands.

The author will be in conversation with Prof. Domenico Rogoli, in a discussion offering insights into the relationship between nutrition, health, and sustainability, enriched with anecdotes and references to the history and current relevance of this UNESCO heritage.

The evening will continue at 8:30 PM with a cooking show dedicated to Mediterranean flavors and, from 9:30 PM, with a concert by Ritmo Binario. Throughout the event, visitors can experience local food and wine, view craft exhibitions, and enjoy entertainment for children.

Free admission. Complimentary shuttle service every 15 minutes starting at 8:00 PM from the Cinema Teatro Paolo Grassi (Cisternino).
